Lafollette Housing Authority – Alexander Heights Renovations
When the LaFollette Housing Authority decided to gut and rehabilitate their Alexander Heights development, Michael Brady Inc. provided architectural and engineering services for the major reconfiguration and renovation of all 70 dwelling spaces. Features that were among those slated for demolition and redesign included kitchens, bathrooms, windows, doors, and flooring. The plumbing and electrical systems were updated and replaced. A new pitched roof system was installed as well as a new stone facade on the exterior of the buildings. The addition of sheet rock over the exposed block interior walls and exposed concrete ceilings created a warmer and more inviting interior. The turn-key project was rounded out by providing new HVAC units, increasing existing parking, developing exterior storage solutions for each unit, and the addition of complete landscaping.
